Do You Need Certification to Conduct a Cacao Ceremony?
As an ex-College Lecturer in my homeland Australia, I know how and why adults have different learning styles and if you are the type of person who much prefers to find a recipe so you can teach yourself – you will be perfectly capable of doing this.
Having a Certification as a Cacao Ceremony Facilitator isn’t essential to run Cacao Ceremony events, any more than you need a qualification to hold a tea ceremony, which you absolutely don’t. However if you wish to work professionally with Cacao and charge a fee for events – you will need professional insurance which means you will need a certification. Certification will also teach you how to work with the public with ethics and integrity, and make you aware of your legal obligations to the public here in Ireland and abroad along with the requirements of lawful compliance in Complementary Therapies and much more.
This is the reason why I was inspired to create Cacao Temple Academy. In this unique and comprehensive course you will learn the art of working with subtle energies and working with respect and reverence for the sacred plant medicine. This is achieved through intention and the art of sacred ceremony. To honour the history of this sacred medicine food and work with it’s magic in sacred space.
The best way to get started with Cacao and the art of ceremony, is to begin making a Cacao drink for yourself on a daily basis to experiment with the taste and discover the recipe which suits you the best. The best way to do this is by creating your own daily Cacao ritual.
On completion of my Certified Cacao Ceremony Leader training you will be well on the way to developing your own Spiritual connection to the sacred Cacao medicine and with further practice as defined in the training, you will be ready to hold Cacao Ceremony and sacred space for others.

How is Cacao made?
Cacao is the product of Cacao beans produced by the “Theobroma Cacao” tree which grows at its best in a tropical rainforest climate.
Only a small amount of cacao beans are harvested from each tree which means you need a lot of trees to create a viable industry.
Amazing Health Benefits
Loaded with so many nutritional benefits as a natural source of magnesium, iron, copper, fibre and so many other essential nutrients,
Scientifically proven to assist with such a vast range of health conditions – it’s easy to see why the sale of Cacao is now booming around the world.
What Cacao do You Recommend and Why?
With a background in Naturopathy, Scientific Research and Spirituality, I have chosen my preferred Cacao not only for its quality and nutritional value, but also that it hails from an ethical local industry and quality guaranteed.
Processed here in Ireland from ethically sourced cacao beans imported from countries where there is no slave labour. With just 0.22% caffeine less than decaf coffee – its decaf Cacao which means no caffeine side-effects.

the truth about cacao
What’s the Story About Cacao Temple?
Cacao Temple was first established in 2007 in Australia, by Australian Natural Therapist Sharon Quigley at her home in the Perth Hills of Western Australia who now lives in Ireland. In 2007 Sharon had first learned about the wonders of this sacred Cacao medicine from a neighbour who had just returned from living for a few months in a tropical rainforest area of South America with the local people who were growing Cacao using the traditional methods used for centuries by their ancestors.
During his time living with the local native people he had learned so much about the significance of sacred Cacao medicine and the important role Cacao played in their every day lives. Including how to make fresh dark chocolate for eating – along with a super healthy chocolate drink with raw Cacao in their traditional ways. He was eager to share his new-found knowledge of sacred Cacao medicine with Sharon in the same traditional way he had learned himself, by showing the process, making it, and experiencing its magic. Guided by the Cacao Spirit, from the pure love of his heart.
Once the Spirit of the Cacao becomes your friend and you connect with this sacred plant medicine authentically, so profound is the effect of pure love which Cacao has on you that you will literally want to share this knowledge with the world. Because this is more than connecting with the Cacao Spirit, this connecting with our Sacred Earth and what our Creator has provided for us to live a long, happy and healthy life.
It is through this authentic love and connection with the Spirit of the Cacao which Sharon is now guided to share this sacred knowledge with you through her teachings of Cacao Temple.
